Who Is Michael English?
Michael English debuted as a soloist in the Christian music scene in the early 1990s and became a force to be reckoned with due to his smooth soulful singing and powerful songs. Songs such as “Mary, Did You Know?,” “In Christ Alone,” “Holding Out Hope to You,” and “Solid As the Rock” are now Christian music classics. English suffered a rapid fall from grace after a very public affair with another prominent Christian recording artist. English spent the years abusing drugs and alcohol before his return to Christ and now Gospel music just a couple of years ago. He released his comeback album, The Prodigal Comes Home, to critical acclaim last year. It was recently announced that English is returning to the Gaither Vocal Band as their new lead singer.
