Jonny Diaz Performs at Atlanta Braves’ Turner Field

Singer/songwriter Jonny Diaz reconnected with his brother Matt Diaz, who is the left fielder for the Atlanta Braves, at Atlanta’s Turner Field where Diaz performed on August 4th for Third Coast Sports “Faith Night”. Diaz, who opened for MercyMe, performed songs from his latest album They Need Love, which was released earlier this year.

“The bottom line is Jonny Diaz is the real deal,” said Bart Millard, lead singer of MercyMe. “To stand in front of 7000 people with just your guitar and your voice, and keep the crowd captivated is a gift. Jonny has that gift and then some.”

“Jonny Diaz has the potential to make a real impact in our industry,” stated Mike Snider of Third Coast Artist Agency.  “He is a pleasure to be around and delivered when given the chance to perform.”

Originally destined to carry on the family tradition of a professional baseball player, Diaz decided to take a different road and pursued music.  His tremendous song-writing talent and ability to connect with his audience quickly kicked off a grassroots buzz that has taken his music nationally.

Diaz’s debut release Shades of White was released in August 2003 as he entered his sophomore year of college at Florida State University. He released his second album, Everyday God during senior year of college in September of 2005.  He continues to tour throughout the country playing for churches, youth camps, or wherever he is able to play and not only share his music but also his inspiring message.
