BarlowGirl Experiencing International Success

(Nashville, TN) November 12, 2007 — Fervent Records’ sister rock trio, BarlowGirl, is impacting international radio and retail outlets after several successful overseas visits.

In addition to an EO Youth Day performance in the Netherlands (30,000+ crowd), the girls have made stops in various countries including Germany, Australia, Guatemala and Canada. Approximately 40,000 units have already shipped to international outlets from their sophomore release Another Journal Entry and their latest album How Can We Be Silent.

All three BarlowGirl titles are currently available in roughly 70 countries, with How Can We Be Silent being the first BarlowGirl album released into the mainstream market in Canada in September and will hit Brazilian stores in December. The album also recently released in Indonesia and will release in Singapore this month. In addition, Another Journal Entry became available in India for the first time in August.

“Our whole family really has a heart for international work. We love traveling and ministering in other countries and truly feel called to be God’s hands and feet wherever He takes us,” says BarlowGirl. “We recently returned from Guatemala, it was an amazing experience, one we will never forget!”

BarlowGirl has solidified their rock stature in the Christian and mainstream music scene with their 2004 self-titled debut and follow-up 2005 project, Another Journal Entry. The success of these two albums resulted in sales of over 550,000, four #1 hits, nine Dove Award nominations and the mega-hit, “I Need You To Love Me,” became the longest #1 single in Christian Radio Weekly’s CHR chart history at a record 13 weeks. BarlowGirl has been featured on NBC News/Today show, Associated Press, Sophisticates Hairstyle magazine, winner of Yahoo! Music’s “Who’s Next” series and recently was named the 2007 Youth Ambassador for the National Day of Prayer.
