Brian Littrell, Lisa Kimmey & Brandon Heath to Host
ATLANTA – June 26, 2007 – Gospel Music Channel has tapped Backstreet Boy Brian Littrell, Out of Eden’s Lisa Kimmey and up-and-coming singer/songwriter Brandon Heath to host their exclusive national concert coverage of the two-day 94.9 KLTY/Interstate Batteries Celebrate Freedom 2007. The largest free concert event in the country has been held at Southfork Ranch in Parker, Texas (just outside Dallas) for 17 years. For the first time in 2006, the Gospel Music Channel was invited to broadcast the concert on the nation’s only 24-hour, all Gospel/Christian music television network. The network returns in 2007 to capture the two-day concert event on June 29 and 30 to be broadcast in four, two-hour concert specials which will premiere on July 7 (4:00 pm Part 1, 8:00 pm Part 2) and July 14 (4:00 pm Part 3, 8:00 pm Part 4) and be seen throughout the month. The 2007 line-up for 94.9 KLTY/Interstate Batteries Celebrate Freedom 2007 boasts the biggest line-up ever – nearly 40 artists, including some of Christian and gospel music’s top artists such as Casting Crowns, Natalie Grant, Aaron Shust, TobyMac, Avalon, Nichole Nordeman, Krystel Meyers, Marcos Witt, Bebo Norman, Rebecca St. James, Salvador, Superchic[k], Michael English, Anthony Evans, and many more. Littrell, Kimmey and Heath will host the Gospel Music Channel’s special coverage with Kimmey and Heath hosting the first day of the event and Littrell and Kimmey covering the final evening concert. Littrell, already a multi-platinum artist as part of the Backstreet Boys, has become a Christian and gospel fan favorite since releasing his Reunion Records’ solo debut, Welcome Home in 2006. Kimmey is one-third of sister group Out of Eden, but has recently become a television personality in her own right as a regular host for Gospel Music Channel’s Hot List. And, Heath has been a respected writer in Nashville for years often collaborating with Bebo Norman, Matt Wertz and Dave Barnes. He released his debut CD, Don’t Get Comfortable, last fall.
