DVD Review - Into the WildMy husband claims that every man has a dream of leaving everything behind and taking to the road. Maybe it’s a primal thing, man against nature…or in my husband’s case another chance to meet people. My father often talked about the same sense of wanderlust, though he actually took off after he graduated high school, and he and a friend went to Montana and Mexico and back again. His experiences on his trip have made for a lifetime of stories and friends.
Movie Review - LeatherheadsThere are a few amusing moments. I loved the scene where Connelly and Rutherford start a fight. The stipulations of the fight are hilarious and show wonderfully the weaknesses of athletes. The end was interesting, but it leaves so to be desired as to how football went on from there.
No Reservations vs. Mostly MarthaI recently sat down to watch No Reservations not on its own merit, but because I had heard that it was based on one of my favorite movies of all time - Mostly Martha, a German film that came out in 2001.
DVD Review: The Nanny DiariesWhat is life like for the incredibly rich child? The Nanny Diaries, based on the book by the same name, explores the topic from a cultural view point. The movie is centered on Annie Braddock, a young college graduate that wanders into the world of high class New York, well at least into their playrooms
DVD Review - License to WedMost of the movie tries for fast paced crazy comedy relying chiefly on random things that come from Robin Williams and putting the two love birds into insane situations that also arise from Williams.
Movie Review - The KingdomThere are some movies that do more than entertain - they beg us to stop to pay attention and to take a side. This movie picks a side, but more than that it takes time to inform us about our enemy and about the people in between.
