It’s safe to say that CeCe Winans is easily one of the most accomplished and well-received artist in either Christian or Gospel music.  Everyone loves CeCe as she’s never been too obtrusive about her faith to offend anyone - yet the love of Christ is always exuded with confidence from the vocalist.  Much like Delirious? though, Winans has always been caught between two worlds - the music of the church and the music of the pop world.  She’s always tried to delicately balance the two worlds - and always masterfully at that.  The pop music world has fallen love with Winans due to strong offerings like CeCe Winans, Purified, and Everlasting Love.  Meanwhile, she’s been a mainstay in the Gospel music community with her church-centered efforts like Throne Room, Alone In His Presence, and Alabaster BoxThy Kingdom Come is said to be a return to her church roots - though she’s never really left those roots to begin with.  It’s apparent from the beginning strains of “Holy Father God” that Winans is ready to bring the worshipper into a true state of worship - and this is notably seen in tracks like “Worthy”, “Bless His Holy Name”, “Oh Holy Place”, and “Forever”.  Winans touches her deep Gospel roots on the rousing “Waging War” and “Million Miles”.  However, it should be noted that CeCe has managed to - unlilke any other album - balance the pop and worship almost effortlessly this time - as “Test of Time”, “Falling In Love”, “The Coast Is Clear” and others all find CeCe performing strong, urban and r&b laced pop music.  CeCe’s vocals are once again performed masterfully, and the arrangements and instrumentation here is just phenomenal thanks to the help of the many producers of this record.  Thy Kingdom Come finds CeCe doing what she does best - leading worshippers to a new place in God’s presence and showcasing her vocals in those great pop arrangements.
