The Godkinz are releasing their debut album with Koch Entertainment.  These three samoan PK’s lay down some pretty slick R&B that isn’t heard much in the christian music industry.  The production qualities are second to none and just about every song has radio play potential - which isn’t necessarily a good thing, because the music just blends in and sounds just like everything else thats being played today. If you have heard Bone Thugs N Harmony or Chris Brown, then you won’t be surprised. They definately stay inside the box musically.  Lyrically, they stand out because every song is dedicated to praising Jesus, sharing their faith, and having fun. These boys are not bashful. They love Jesus, want you too as well, and in turn hit the dance floor.  The highlights of the album are “Rollin Up”, “Is There One” and “Many Words”.  The first two because Jazz comes back on the scene.  Jazz, where ya been?  One of the founding members of classic christian hip hop group Unity Klan, Jazz disappeared for a few years and left her fans wanting more.  Seriously, Jazz can play with the big boys.  It’s good to see her back and hopefully we will be hearing more from her.  “Many Words” is just a really good praise song and would make a good track to play while you are spending your personal time with God.
