Since October is a new band on the scene and released their first album on Tooth and Nail Records - This Is My Heart.  Not too shabby for a band that just started out as a youth praise band and would jam when they got a chance.  The record is solid with moments of real potential with production from Travis Wyrick and P.O.D.’s Marcos Curiel. It has a lot of commercial appeal and shows promise of Since October being a band that can really cross over the CCM/secular line. If you have heard any Breaking Benjamin, AFI, or Atreyu song on the radio, then you have heard the music that Since October makes. Where the album stands out is in the ballad “Waiting” - which takes you back to the big hair ballads. It’s sappy, emotional, beautiful and I dare you to listen to it and not find yourself singing to it loudly in your car. I dare you!
