Demon Hunter - 45 Days
Producer: Aaron Sprinkle Keeping up with their trend of releasing new material every year, Demon Hunter has come out with their first full feature length DVD. 45 Days is a 90 minute documentary of the full 45 day Storm the Gates of Hell tour. Shot completeley in black and white, it shows what goes on behind the scenes, stories from fans, and the comraderie of the whole band and crew. It gets a tad long, but it is an interesting insight into the band. If you are already a fan, you will love it. If you aren’t, then you will get bored quickly and should just get the special edition CD/DVD of The Triptych that shows more of what the band is about. One very entertaining moment on the dvd is in the extras. Demon Hunter played a practical joke on their tour mates by crashing each of their performances on the last night of the tour. The retaliation is hilarious. In addition to the documentary is a live concert DVD shot at Rocketown in Nashville, TN. Although the sound quality could be a little better, it did a good job of showing their stage presence and crowd interaction. It was a fun concert. Last, their is a cd with new music recorded for the documentary. If you like soundtrack music without lyrics, then you might enjoy it. But the CD gets boring pretty quickly until the end when it has instrumentals for “Fading Away” and “Carry Me Down”. Purchase 45 Days (CD/DVD) RATING:
